Automatic Books is proud to invite you to the launch of Small Kings, the book by the New York-based photographer Alessandro Zuek Simonetti. Small Kings is a selection of black and white images taken at Passa Passa, one of the most famous street parties in Jamaica, a couple of months before the conflicts which brought the ghetto of Tivoli Gardens on the fist pages of newspapers all over the world. The book is printed in a limited xerographic numbered edition of 200 copies. The author will be present at the launch event.

The fisrt books were made with his friends, then after a few books, he decided to contact artist he likes.
He’s still looking for new contributors. He’ve never printed one of the books online, because it’s a free access library to promote atists works. He likes to design the more basic book he could, a very simple one with a colored cover and some pages. So the books have the same shape, the same number of pages and used the same font. The layout is more specific for each book.
